The contract for the implementation of all stages of work was signed with the Russian Center for Forest Protection (federal budgetary institution). The organization will carry out reforestation at the expense of RNG JSC on an area of over 640 hectares. Tree planting will be done within the boundaries of the lands allocated for this purpose by the Vilyuisk Forestry (state public institution).
At the first stage, which has been started in February and will last until May, the afforestation project will be approved. It is currently being developed. At the second stage, the delivery of seedlings will begin. Trees will be planted from August to October.
RNG JSC and other companies of Eastsib Holding are deploying large-scale environmental projects in Yakutia. Last year, RNG JSC supported the “Let’s Save the Forest” All-Russian action of the national project “Ecology” and assisted its implementation in the Mirny District. Among the initiative more than ten thousand seedlings were planted. Annually during a special fire regime, that takes place in summer, a professional fire service of RNG JSC conducts territory patrols and monitors forest fires.
In 2021, in Yakutia an extremely difficult fire situation was observed. The companies of Eastsib Holding assisted in extinguishing fires in the Mirny, Suntar and Lensky districts. The holding’s companies regularly sent personnel and special equipment to help the consolidated teams of firefighters, acting jointly with the Russian Emergencies Ministry.
