A large tribute concert was held at the Moscow Musical Theatre to mark the 80th anniversary of the birth of Andrei Mironov, People’s Artist of the RSFSR. JSC RNG became the general sponsor of the memorial evening.
The concert featured Russian theatre and film stars Vera Vasilyeva, Alexander Shirvindt, Leonid Kanevsky, Dmitry Kharatyan, Vladimir Mashkov, and Larisa Golubkina. Mikhail Shvydkoi, Special Representative of the Russian President for International Cultural Cooperation and Artistic Director of the Moscow Musical Theatre hosted the event.
“It was not possible to celebrate the outstanding artist’s anniversary properly in 2021 for all the obvious reasons. Given Andrei Aleksandrovich’s very musical talent, a concert at Russia’s only musical theatre seems most logical – for musical theatre and film he was a godsend. I would like to thank RNG JSC, which runs its operations in the cold parts of Yakutia, for their support of the memorable evening”, said Mikhail Shvydkoi, the theatre’s artistic director.
The evening featured songs from films, plays and cartoons, as well as rare recordings by Andrei Mironov, accompanied by the Oleg Lundstrem Chamber Jazz Orchestra, conducted by Boris Frumkin.
“Andrei Mironov is a great actor of the Soviet cinema. His films have already become classics and are loved by all generations. We are pleased to contribute to a commemorative event dedicated to the famous actor,” said Gennady Alferenko, member of the Board of Directors of RNG JSC.
The company actively supports vibrant cultural initiatives and cooperates with renowned organizations in this area. Thus, last autumn RNG JSC became the general partner of the tour of the St. Petersburg State Academic Ballet Theatre of Boris Eifman, and plans for our cooperation include organizing the theatre’s tour in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
