The Eastern Economic Forum was held on September 2–3, 2016 bringing together 3,500 participants as well as 1,100 mass media representatives. Foreign participants represented 56 countries. The largest delegations came from Japan (246 people), China (227 people), and the Republic of Korea (128 people). The Forum was held under the motto "Opening up the Far East".
At the open session Ivan Menshikov, CEO of RNG, delivered a speech dedicated to monetization of APG on exploration fields of Yakutia. Mr. Menshikov also stressed the importance of establishing production facilities with high added value on the basis of gas and chemical clusters of the Eastern Siberia and the Far East.
