At present 150 tons of oil required for heating of 45 socially significant facilities have been already delivered to the residential community.
“Due to lack of fuel the situation tuned out to be critical. We are very grateful to RNG JSC that they did us a service,” said Eduard Filippov, the Head of Suntarsky Nasleg. According to him, the previous contractor did not honour his commitments as to fuel supply, so the administration cancelled the contract.
“The amount of fuel, available in the village, would be sufficient up to October 15,” Mr. Filippov noted. “If RGN did not help us, our hospital, school, college, boiler house and over 40 more social facilities would be left unheated.”
Mr. Filippov intentionally arrived to Moscow to find a new fuel supplier in the shortest possible time. RNG company promptly answered this request for help and agreed to deliver the supply by its own efforts.
The distance from the oil production location in the Eastern blocks of the Srednebotuobinskoye oil and gas condensate field to Suntar is over 440km. Along the good road and with no delays trucks pass this distance within 6–7 hours.
“The most complicated thing in this situation was to manage and drive down the road tankers with oil before river crossings over the Malaya Botuobiya and Vilyuy rivers were closed,” shared Ivan Menshikov, Director General of RNG.
Due to weather conditions the river crossings should have been closed for winter in the mid of October. Even now night temperatures in Suntarsky district go below minus 10 degrees Centigrade. But road agencies showed understanding and agreed to prolong functioning of ferries and pontoons until road tankers of RNG, carrying oil for Suntar, pass them. Due to the concerted efforts of all agencies, 150 tons of oil have been already delivered to the village.
