RNG contributes to the social and economic development of the region of operation and augments local budgets.
From the very beginning of the development of the Eastern blocks of the Srednebotuobinskoye oil and gas condensate field in 2014, the joint-stock company registered a separate subdivision in the city of Mirny. This ensured a constant flow of taxes to local budgets. At the end of 2020, the company will transfer 4.74 billion rubles to the budgets of all levels and off-budget funds in the form of taxes and mandatory payments.
Transport communication in Yakutia is obstructed, so the companies of the Eastsib Holding group (which includes RNG JSC) are actively involved in infrastructure projects: they build bridges and asphalt roads in the Mirninsky and Suntarsky districts of the republic. Construction specialists use asphalt paving materials and technologies that are optimally suited to local weather conditions. For these purposes, were purchased a movable asphalt concrete plant from the German manufacturer Benninghoven and all the necessary asphalt paving equipment.
The Eastsib Holding group of companies is planning to continue the construction of infrastructure facilities. For example, Eastsib Holding won a tender for asphalting a section of the Vilyui federal highway between the cities of Mirny and Lensk. The route is very important for local residents: it will stretch from the Irkutsk region to Yakutsk, and will provide the city of Mirny with a year-round communication with the capital of the republic. Special attention is paid to the village of Tas-Yuryakh, which is the nearest settlement to the field operated by RNG. The company helps the residents to take out garbage for disposal at its own recently opened landfill for municipal solid waste (MSW). In addition, for the last three years the village has been supplied with drinking water from the company's own treatment plants.
RNG’s CEO Vladimir Rakitin stressed: “One of our top priorities is to improve the quality of life of the local people. We are implementing a large-scale investment program for road construction, support social projects in the republic, and also contribute to the improvement of public spaces. As one of the largest employers in the region, RNG is interested in developing local professional education. There was organized an expert and technological support of the project of the Mirny Regional Technical College named a "Factory of processes for training personnel for the oil and gas industry".
Aisen Nikolaev, the head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) noted: “The development of the oil and gas sector in the region has determined the necessity to train local specialists. It is important that graduating students of our colleges and universities meet the highest requirements to work in such a high-tech industry as oil and gas. "
In addition to partnership with the college, RNG employees regularly give lectures on industry-specific topics in various educational institutions of Yakutia. The enterprise annually invites students of specialized universities for paid summer practice in student teams.
By investing in education, RNG also actively supports educational projects to research both the culture of Yakutia and the history of the industry.
Even in difficult times for the oil and gas industry in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic that hit all sectors of the economy, RNG fulfills its obligations to employees and government agencies, continuing to pursue a conscientious social policy.
