The fifth annual scientific and practical conference "Quality Day - 2021" was held in Moscow.
The event brought together employees of RNG's Well Drilling and Geology Departments and specialists from leading oilfield service, engineering and IT companies: Halliburton, Schlumberger, Baker Hughes, NOV Inc., Emerson, ROGII, Amirig, VPT Neftemash LLC and ESEC LLC.
The conference was held in compliance with all measures to prevent coronavirus infection.
“Despite the difficult market conditions and existing restrictions, we still hold our “Quality Day”. Here we bring together leading world and Russian oilfield service companies to discuss current industry issues,” emphasized Yevgeny Zagumenny, Head of Integrated Projects for Well Drilling at RNG.
Over the years of joint work in the difficult conditions of Eastern Siberia, unique engineering solutions have been introduced, and the accumulated competencies are actively used for additional exploration and timely full-scale development of the Eastern blocks of Srednebotuobinskoye oil and gas condensate field – the company's key asset.
“Development of complex reserves requires new approaches. Our company expands its capabilities and applies innovative technologies to multiply the accuracy of drilling horizontal wells. Now we have achieved the accuracy of drilling at a depth of 3 km to half a meter from the target points. The fishbone technology makes it possible to introduce a larger amount of reserves into development," said Pavel Grechikho, Deputy CEO and Chief Geologist of RNG.
Based on the results of the specialists' reports, discussions took place on a wide range of industry issues. The participants discussed innovative solutions for the Russian oilfield service market and analyzed the problems arising in the exploration and development of fields, and possible ways to solve them.
The specialists shared their working tools for optimizing their activities and mapped out ways of further cooperation. Such meetings are of great importance for RNG, the oil and gas sector of Eastern Siberia and the industry as a whole.
